The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses.
A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease. Vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost. Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. See below for just some of the plans that we accept.
Welcome to our office and thank you for choosing Regional Eye Center as your eye care professionals. Our goal is to provide you the very best in total eye care.
It is the policy of Regional Eye Center that payment is due at the time of services unless other financial arrangements are made in advance. We require all patients to pay their deductible, copay and/or coinsurance payment at the beginning of each visit. At the conclusion of each visit with us you will be billed for any outstanding balances. If there is a credit, you will be provided a refund promptly. If we do not receive payment within 90 days, your account will be turned over to a collection agency.
If you are covered by health insurance or vision insurance with benefits, we will be happy to bill your insurance. Please provide your insurance information (specifically, your current insurance card) to the front office staff and we will verify your coverage as a courtesy. Accepting your insurance does not place all financial responsibilities onto this practice, and you will be held accountable for any unpaid balances by your plan.
Although we are contracted with most insurance carriers, our services may not be covered by your particular insurance plan. Being referred to our clinic by another physician does not necessarily guarantee that your insurance will cover our services. Please remember that you are 100 percent responsible for all charges incurred. Your physician's referral and our verification of your insurance benefits are not a guarantee of payment.
We highly recommend you also contact your insurance carrier and check into your coverage for optometry and ophthalmology. Do not assume that you will not owe anything if you have more than one insurance policy.
If you need any special payment arrangements, please inform us prior to being seen. We accept cash, check, money order, Care Credit and all major credit cards.
Thank you again for choosing Regional Eye Center. It is a pleasure to serve you.
